Every successful comedian has had a mentor or a coach. All of us need a person with more experience to offer insight, perspective and guidance. Whether it’s choosing the right material, the right order, the right set for that elusive submission tape, or simply a tweaking a few jokes, a coach can be an invaluable resource to keep you on course.

My approach to private coaching is very goal oriented. Here’s how it works. You send me your most recent tape, if I think I can help you we set up a time to work via Skype or Facetime. To prepare for our session, gather all the material in your act that is not working or could work even better. During our session we will go through whatever notes I made from your tape and then address everything you have brought in to fix or improve. As a follow up I invite you send me audio clips of your sets after our session to hear the results our efforts in front of an audience. Subsequent sessions are usually no more than once a month. Some of the people I have worked with have gone on to do TV spots, enter festivals, develop web series and ‘pass’ at mainstream comedy clubs.
